50 year Facelift anyone?? This hand made cabin in Northern Michigan had never been stained. This Dog Sledding Camp turned Deer Camp needed a nice coat of low maintenance Armstrong-Clark Mountain Cedar Semi Solid Stain will stand up to the weather here and help preserve this amazing cabin for future generations.

We chose to go with Quietude Colored paint and paired it with Semi Transparent Driftwood Grey and Transparent Cedar tone to match the front door. Answer: A brand new one.
Seriously though, although you shouldn’t stain your deck for about a year after it’s built, it’s important to remember that your first stain choice is well thought out. Do you plan on changing your deck color often? Will I be applying a sealer that peels off and requires sanding in order to refinish? We suggest stain which will be easy to maintain and change and will save you money down the road. 👀 Do you like something that is extremely trendy? Keep in mind you’ll need to have your deck re-stained so some trends aren’t worth the headache and heartbreak. Don’t worry, we can explain all the options and help make your decision an easy one.

What is Ipe? It is Brazilian Hardwood and it is BEAUTIFUL with a fresh coat of Amber Semi Transparent stain from This is a satisfying job!! The deck had multiple coatings of miscellaneous stains that had to be sanded off, all that’s left are the railings and they will have a beautiful deck to match their beautiful house.
