If you don't want to replace your old fluorescent ballast fixtures or even the ballast, you don't have to. There is another way, my favorite way, and seems to be favored by customers as well. It's called fluorescent to LED conversion and in this case, it's Type B.

Quick walkthrough on wiring a switched outlet. In this setup, one half of the receptacle is controlled by a wall switch while the other half stays constantly powered.
Good setup for lamps, living rooms, bedrooms, and older switched-light layouts.
Always verify power is off, test your circuits, and follow your local electrical code before attempting any electrical work.
