Contrary to popular belief and social media entomology 😅 eating local honey DOES NOT
treat or cure seasonal allergies. Pollen that triggers hay fever comes from windborne trees, grasses, and weeds, whereas bees collect heavy, sticky pollen mostly from bright flowers. Honey contains very little pollen, lacks a standardized dose, and provides no clinical desensitization.

There was five local flowers.
One solitary bee.
One carpenter bee.
Three butterflies.
All native and foraging here in Tampa Bay for hundreds of years, successfully and healthy.

Until... Joe Blows Honey Farm continues to add thousands of non-native invasive pollinators, treating them with pesticides for mites that pass on to flowers and no regard to our environment.
Joe never feeds his backyard money making pets. The slave insects rely on the Florida environment to do so. Even though not one Florida plant, needs or wants honey bees for reproduction.
(Only 20% of 🇺🇸 crops commercially and only during the flowering stage, require honey bees.)

Joe Blow sells his food source tax free, gets property tax breaks and is almost completely unregulated by our department of agricultural.

Mr. Blow continues to add more bees and continues to starve out local butterflies and ALL native pollinator$. There's barely any flowers here to feed off of and mainly invasives like the pepper trees. No farms in bloom needing honey bees.
Hmmm.. Why do they infest our landfills and our trash cans now?

We are at a crucial tipping point here in Florida and insect annihilation continues.
Rip to the Miami blue butterfly, almost extinct.

This Miami Blue Butterfly is almost completely wiped off the map of Florida. Why? Well just like the other 40 species of native butterflies, they cannot compete with honey bees..
Humans keep adding invasive pollinators and starving more than 80 insects out of Florida permanently. Honey hunters and their tax-free liquid gold, has become completely out of hand.
Why has the University of Florida and FDACs; not only allowed this to happen, but also encourage adding more honey bees to our precious environment? Save the butterfly and make these people feed their own damn honey slave pets.
