Get ready for an evening of beauty, music, and community at the Troy Hidden Garden Tour, a beloved fundraiser hosted by Friends of Prospect Park! 🌞 Rain or shine, explore 42 unique private and semi-private gardens in the historic Washington Park, Sage, and nearby neighborhoods.

What to Expect:

🌷 Self-Guided Tour: Check in at the Russell Sage College parking lot (96 1st St. Troy) after 4 PM to grab your map and start exploring. Last year, over 1,400 people joined the fun!

🌼 Ever-Changing Gardens: Discover new gardens, returning favorites, and evolving landscapes behind Troy’s charming brownstones.

🎶 Live Music: Enjoy a flute quartet (4-6 PM) and a lively Troy Samba percussion performance at the check-in area.

🍽️ Explore Downtown: Stay after to dine at Troy’s amazing restaurants or shop local businesses.

🏛️ Historic Charm: Stroll the same streets featured in HBO’s The Gilded Age!

🅿️ Parking: Free at Russell Sage College lot (First & Division St.) and additional lots on First St.

♿ Access: Limited wheelchair/stroller access. No dogs in private gardens. (Be kind to the dogs that may live there!)

CIRCUS IN PROSPECT PARK, TROY NY
August 10 - 17, 2024

Did you know that the Troy Hidden Garden Tour is an annual fundraiser for Friends of Prospect Park? When you buy a ticket for the garden tour, that money goes toward programs and projects to benefit Troy's Prospect Park.

This August, we are delighted to partner once again with the Contemporary Circus and Immersive Arts Center to bring you 8 days of Circus in the Park under the bigtop (Aug. 10 - 17).

The schedule includes three performances by Brooklyn-based Bindlestiff Family Cirkus, a youth camp with Westchester Circus Arts, a fundraising evening with Montreal-based Cirque Kickasse! and a free family picnic day with workshops for all ages — all exploring different facets of contemporary circus.

None of the events feature performing animals, but instead put the focus on the incredible capabilities of the human body demonstrated through acrobatics, juggling, and more.

All activities occur under a 34 foot-tall, 4,000 square-foot tent that holds 225 people.

WELCOME TO OUR GARDENS
25th Annual Troy Hidden Garden Tour
Thurs. May 23, 4PM-7:30 PM | Rain or Shine

In this video, Peter Grimm, president of Friends of Prospect Park, welcomes you to visit more than 30 private and semi-private gardens in Troy, New York. (Check out the footage from last year's tour!)

Now in its 25th year, the 2024 Troy Hidden Garden Tour is a self-guided walking tour, held rain or shine, to benefit Troy's Prospect Park. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 on the day of the tour.

Check-in is at 96 First Street. (You can check in any time after 4 p.m. and before 7 p.m. You will receive a map at check in or via email if you purchased tickets online.)

Free parking is available in the Russell Sage College parking lots on both sides of First Street and Division and on City streets.

* Wheelchair and stroller access is limited.*

Please do not bring dogs into the private gardens.

This August, we are delighted to partner once again with the Contemporary Circus and Immersive Arts Center to bring you 10 days of Circus in the Park under the bigtop (Aug. 11 - 20).

The schedule includes three performances by a professional touring company of "The RAINBOW is Enuf," a summer camp for kids, a family picnic day with workshops for all ages, the premiere of an original circus show "Helix" — all exploring different facets of contemporary circus.

None of the events feature performing animals, but instead put the focus on the incredible capabilities of the human body demonstrated through acrobatics, juggling, and more.

All activities occur under a 34 foot-tall, 4,000 square-foot tent that holds 250 people.

Some programs are free, some have an admission fee.
