Loren Kierstead is a Southern Arizona native with a strong Dutch Heritage. The Klompen of the Two Wooden Shoes logo are actually shoes that belonged to his Mother and were the inspiration for his shop. He specializes in collaborative partnerships with his customers to create long lasting pieces with a personal touch. Every project out of the shop, large or small, is important and something that he and his customer can be proud of!

Just completed. This 4 ft by 8 ft by 2 in dining room table was constructed with carob wood which was rescued by ironwood Mills up in Phoenix and combined with 33 gallons of epoxy to create a elegant yet modern piece of furniture. The tablebase was constructed out of 4 in tubular steel which had to be strong enough to support the close to 600 lb tabletop. Another one of a kind project coming out of Two Wooden Shoes.

To current projects which were finished in the last couple of days. One was a custom dining room table made out of white oak for a customer up in Mesa. The second project being cabinets for mudroom for a prior customer for their cabin. It's been busy here in the shop and the projects that are coming are only going to get more interesting.

In a very busy but productive week! It was all about barn doors this week and was happy to install three sets of doors this week to their appropriate new owners. On to the next project which is going to be a combination of steel and wood looking forward to doing this one after a quick break. Going to put this week in a win column for two wooden shoes!😁😁😁

Special project for an old friend. Couple of months ago she approached me with the hopes that I would be able to fix up a door that she bought at a yard sale for a hundred bucks. After going to take a look at the door there was absolutely no way to save it but I offered to make her a new one. Today was the last day of this project cuz I just finished installing it. Solid wood door with insulated glass custom made for a good friend. Another I can do project completed. Thanks goes out to an old high school friend who believed in me and wanted me to do the job for her and her family. Time to go home clean the shop and get on to the next project!

Well the day is finally come! Time to drive up to Phoenix and deliver these two tables. They presented some interesting challenges but they definitely come a long way from where they started. Time to get home clean up celebrate a little bit get on to the next project. Another unique project and another happy customer. Love doing these projects
