Mountain Power Electrical Contractor, Inc. Mountain Power Electrical Contractor, Inc. is located in Tucson, Arizona and has been providing service to all of Southern Arizona since 1985.

Our work consists of new commercial buildings for state and local government, hospitals, education, industrial and heavy civil project. Our team is dedicated to providing professional assistance and comprehensive pre-construction planning, coordination and project management with consideration of critical time schedules and budgets. We are equipped to handle the challenges and complexities of any

size job. We have qualified electricians and also provide apprenticeship training through WECA to further our workforce. The delivery methods for these projects have been Bid/Build, CMR and Design/Build. Mountain Power is a major installer of traffic signals and street lighting. This division is equipped with all of the necessary equipment required to work on large public project or private projects. Supervisory personnel are also trained through the International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) in regards to work zone safety and traffic signal installation.

Construction is underway on Euclid Avenue and 2nd Street, near the University of Arizona to install a pedestrian-hybrid beacon, also known as a HAWK light, at one of the busiest crosswalks on campus.

Work is beginning on the installation of a bicycle and pedestrian signalized TOUCAN (TwO groUps CAN cross) crossing at the intersection of Euclid Avenue and Second Street. The work is scheduled to be completed by early May.

This will be the first of six Pedestrian-Hybrid Beacons (PHBs) to be installed throughout the city. The six will cost a little more than $3.65 million.

Through a combination of local, regional, state, and federal funding sources, the City of Tucson will be installing more than 60 bicycle and pedestrian signalized crossings over the next several years.
