A tree can still be alive and no longer be safe to retain.
This is a follow-up to a recent emergency tree service call in Tulsa.
A major limb from this maple failed overnight, damaging part of the homeowner’s fence and pool pump. More than one-third of the tree’s structure was lost in that single event. Although the tree was still fully alive and leafed out, the extent of the structural loss led to the decision to remove it.
This was an especially confined removal. Conduit serving the shed ran directly through the only available drop zone. Our team climbed and dismantled the tree from above, and the remaining trunk was blocked down in short, controlled sections. Each piece had to be placed deliberately within the limited space while protecting the surrounding structures.
Tree removal is not always a judgment about whether a tree is green or dead. Sometimes a living tree has suffered enough structural damage that it can no longer remain safely where it stands.
