In this video, we’re putting the 250/B2 to work cutting some crooked red oak, while showing our new optional operator seat and grizzly bars, for all-day comfort and cleaner firewood.

We designed this machine with a low operating height so you spend less energy wrestling logs and more time making firewood. The low operating height of this machine gives you easy access to the live deck, infeed, and splitting chamber, making repositioning blocks and re-splitting easier, faster and safer.

It’s a beautiful day here in Northcentral Wisconsin and we’re doing some more testing on the LS-25 log splitter. This time we’re running some red oak & what we've been told is ash. We’re running the larger 10”-14” rounds through the 16-way wedge and then lifting the 16-way and running the smaller stuff through the 2-way.

It doesn’t take long to build up a pile of wood with this machine, next we’ll have to set up a conveyor to get all this wood away from the splitter!

We’ll be trying some different wedges next week as we slowly get this machine dialed in.

We hope to have production machines ready in January 2027.

We finally got the updates done to the LS-25 & it’s an understatement to say that we’re impressed with this machine.

Here’s a list up updates that we added:
- 3rd small pump to run the log lift, wedge, and power beyond
- Power beyond to give you the ability to run a separate conveyor
- Auto cycle w/ emergency stop button
- Moveable backstop to the splitting chamber to keep rounds from rolling off

In addition to the updates, we:
- Installed the 16-way wedge
- Adjusted/tuned the hydraulics

We tested the machine this afternoon and I’ve included a quick video showing the last block of red oak going through the 16-way and then a half dozen or so small blocks being split with the 2-way wedge that’s below the 16-way.

We’ll be running the machine quite a bit over the next couple weeks and we’ll posting video of the machine running small stuff through the 2 & 4-way wedges, and some larger blocks through the 16-way. The beauty of this machine is that with the Patent Pending Power+ dual cylinder splitting system, it’ll do both of those things very efficiently, with blazing fast cycle times & 40 tons of power to push through a 16-way wedge. Disclaimer: this prototype machine actually has 3” + 4.5” splitting cylinders for a total of 35 tons, but the production machines will have a 3” & a 5” cylinder for 40 tons of power.

Wrapping up an incredible weekend at the Paul Bunyan Show!

Here’s the new LS-25 prototype doing some re-splitting before we load up and head home.

This prototype offered a sneak peek, but the official production models will pack even more standard features including Auto-Cycle & Power Beyond to seamlessly drive an outfeed conveyor.

We expect to have production machines ready for delivery early in 2027.
