Driving through Mequon and feeling old or nostalgic. Going past projects I was a young crew leader or foreman on 40 plus years ago. Trees we planted 5 to 10 feet tall depending on species. Now 70 to 100 feet. Seems impossible.

In our area we have cool season grasses.
The grass mixtures used are generally Kentucky Bluegrasses, Fescues, and Perennial Rye.
Fertilizing this type of grass in Summer is not recommended. They typically have a dormant period during extreme heat.
That said, it doesn't mean don't water. We had extreme rain earlier, most of this just ran off.
The ground is very dry. Water before 10am or after 4pm. Morning is better.
Your lawn as well plants could use water.
Fertilizers in our area should only be applied Spring and Fall.
