Sometimes pivot builds run into very unexpected obstacles! Recently the crew with Central Irrigation LLC discovered such an obstacle on a build in Western Colorado. A very hard, very large buried rock shelf in the path of the pivot pipeline. Thank goodness for good equipment, good operators and some patience and persistence (maybe a few unpostable words too 😅).

Good work supervision for the Central Irrigation crew is always a must on all pivot jobs. This little cutie was enjoying the sunshine and warmer temperatures and lined up for a nice shot with one of our clients' pivots the crew was out servicing. The wildlife seem to enjoy the pivots as much as the crops do.

In June of 2024 Marlen Sacket with Gold Harvest came to Loma, CO to check on the growth rate of GH corn planted by local farmer Jimmie Brach.

April 24, 2024 we delivered our first bags of corn seed to local Loma, CO farmers. Next up in May, we planted a test plot of 16 different varieties of Gold Harvest Corn Seed to learn the qualities and traits of the products, and which hybrid of corn would yield the best on the Western Slope of Colorado.

According to the Natural Resources Conservation Services, on March 17, statewide snowpack stood at 109% of the 30-year median. Normal peak level is usually April 17th. Thank you Mother Nature!!

Here on the Western Slope of Colorado, spring has sprung and these beautiful warm 60+ degree days make it easy to forget the snowy cold days a month ago and the need for good snowpack in the mountains to irrigation water flow to rivers and the fields.
