WE ARE HIRING!!
Craftsman I
Southern Craft Co | Bella Vista, Arkansas
About Us:
Southern Craft Co is a full design-build firm based in Bella Vista, Arkansas. We handle every phase of a project in-house, from foundation to roof, and often the landscape and hardscape around it. We're looking for hardworking, coachable people who want to build real skills across multiple trades, not just clock in and out on one task.
Position Summary:
The Craftsman I is an entry-level, skilled-labor position for someone willing to learn and work across nearly every trade on a job site. You'll work hands-on alongside our master craftsmen, gaining exposure to framing, foundation work, finish carpentry, roofing, and more, plus landscaping and hardscaping when projects call for it. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to grow into a highly skilled, versatile tradesperson.
What You'll Do:
- Work under the direction of master craftsmen across all phases of construction: foundation, framing, roofing, finish work, and beyond
- Assist with landscaping and hardscaping tasks as needed
- Learn proper techniques, tool use, and safety practices across multiple trades
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
- Handle materials, equipment, and tools with care
- Show up on time, ready to work, and follow crew leads' direction
- Take initiative to learn new skills and take on more responsibility over time
What We're Looking For:
- Willingness to learn and work in multiple trades (not looking for a one-trade specialist)
- Reliable, hardworking, and shows up consistently
- Comfortable with physical labor and working outdoors in varying conditions
- Clean and drug-free
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Team-oriented attitude with a strong work ethic
- No prior construction experience required, just a good attitude and willingness to learn
Preferred (Not Required):
- Prior experience in construction, landscaping, or a related trade
- Basic familiarity with hand and power tools
Compensation:
- Starting wage: $18/hour, with opportunity to grow based on experience and skill level
- Opportunity for wage growth as skills and responsibilities increase
Job Type:
Full-time
Location:
Bella Vista, Arkansas
