Busy month this month and I am way behind posting about lots of important things. But the biggest news is that….after almost 30 years at my corporate job….tomorrow I’ll be handing in the laptop and picking up the hammer full time 🛠️ A lot of mixed emotions come with that decision and most of you know how long it has taken me to make lol. I started that job straight out of college as a smartass young kid who knew nothing about what she wanted to do or who she wanted to be. The smartass part hasn’t changed 😉, but I’ve learned and grown a lot and am grateful for all of the people who shared their knowledge and influence along the way to help me be the person I’ve become. I worked in nine different states with them before settling in South Carolina while on maternity leave with Maggie. Most of the people on my team here have been with for the whole 18 years now. I have been blessed to be able to lead them and appreciate all they have taught me and shared with me throughout the years. Watching them grow and develop in their own careers has been my favorite part of the job and I am sure going to miss every one of them! I’ve been part of the company my entire adult life so it’s hard to imagine what life will be like without it but I’m excited to find out ! I appreciate all the friends, family and customers who have made it possible for me to make this change, especially my wife Jenna Lee Henderson without whose support I would not have had the courage to make the jump. I’m so excited to get my weekends and nights back with my family, be able to get projects done faster for my clients and grow Arborwood Designs to the level I know it can reach! 🎉🥳👏
