These old valves tend to break when they are shut down. We are starting this bathroom renovation, and we want to avoid the potential of having the valve break once the plumber shuts it down to replace the shower valve. So, we preemptively replaced it. Nothing worse than having one of these break in the closed position on a late afternoon. Crisis averted!

We are (STILL) hunting for a house to fix and flip. A few days ago, we walked this one in Fort Lauderdale, FL. It’s a 4 bedroom / 1 bathroom single family home. 1,240 sq. ft. Not the best neighborhood, but not terrible. List price is $280K for this one. Needs one of everything and then some. But, if we added a 2nd bathroom and made it a 4 bedroom / 2 bathroom renovated home, the comps support an ARV (after repair value) of $440K.

The number of homeowners in South Florida that get burned by unlicensed contractors is mind blowing. Especially when you consider how easy it is to avoid. It literally takes less than 30 seconds. All you have to do is go to the Department of Business and Professional Regulations’ website and search for the individual or company name. That’s it! If the name does not show up in the database, then they are NOT licensed.

Protect yourself. Always hire licensed professionals for your home improvement projects!

We are (STILL) looking for a house to fix and flip. Today, we took a road trip to Port St. Lucie to see this one. It’s bank-owned. 3 bedroom / 2 bathroom, 1,056 sq ft. It actually has a 3rd bathroom that was built in the garage. List price is $239,900. Needs quite a bit of work. ARV is $320k.

I don’t love it. Finding properities in Port St. Lucie seems easier, until you realize that the ARV is low and margins are very tight. Plus, this one has septic and well water. Public utilities are available if you want to pay to make the transition. I also don’t like wood frame homes.

But, if there’s opportunity, I’m interested. How much would you offer?

We are growing and looking for 1 or 2 people to join us FT on our remodeling projects. We do kitchen and bathroom renovations throughout Palm Beach County, and occasionally Broward, and Martin - it just depends on the project.

We’re a small family owned company. You’ll be working alongside me and my 2 sons, learning hands-on from a licensed general contractor that’s been in the trades since the late 90’s. I started out in apartment maintenance as a groundskeeper and worked my way up from there - learning everything hands-on. So, if you’re a maintenance tech or you’re mechanically inclined - this may be something that you enjoy doing.

The right candidate is someone that:

- Is able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
- Can get to work on time every day.
- Is eager to learn and willing follow directions.
- Can lift heavy objects and isn’t afraid of sweating and getting dirty.

A little experience is a plus, but you don’t have to have a ton of experience. This is more of an entry-level position, and we are willing to teach the right person. The starting pay is between $18 - $20 / hr, depending on experience. We work Monday thru Friday, 8 - 5. We rarely work weekends. We also offer paid time off and holiday pay.

This is a bathroom renovation we just wrapped up in Tequesta, FL. The homeowners wanted to get rid of the bathtub which was cast iron and put up quite the fight. 💪🏼

We converted the set up to a shower with a beautiful niche. All new tile throughout. New vanity, plumbing fixtures, lighting, accessories… the space was completely transformed and brought into this millennium. 👍🏼

Very useful jig. 👍🏼 I’m not a cabinet maker by any means, but every now and then a project requires some customizations. Bought this shelf pin jig on Amazon. High quality - no plastic. Drilled over 100 shelf pin holes quickly and perfectly. Best $30 I’ve spent in a long time. 10/10 ✅

We are (still) hunting for a house to fix and flip. Today, we attended a 1 hr open house in West Palm Beach, FL. Smart marketing. They only opened it up for 1 hour, and investors showed up by the dozens. Must’ve been 40 - 50 cars parked all around the block. It was a feeding frenzy.

This is a 3 bedroom / 1 and a half bathroom (advertised as a 3/2) home from the 1950’s. It’s 1,184 sq ft. Listed for $275k. I believe ARV is right around $450k. The home has a garage or carport originally that was enclosed at some point, adding a 4th bedroom and utility room. But, there are no permit records of it, so it was likely done illegally. It’s in a really nice neighborhood. It needs a total rehab. There is a significant mold problem in 2 of the bedrooms and a bathroom.
