Merry Christmas and happy holidays from our family to yours! We are so thankful for the community of friends and family that surround us here in Abilene. This is why Khakiw**d (or sticker burrs as many ppl call them) thrives in the heat even when our grass may be struggling! Those little leaves are hiding a big ol root. These hearty roots run deep, which helps protect the plant from hotter soil temps closer to the surface, in turn allowing it to be healthier during stressful periods. Bermuda yards need at least 1” of water a week during the growing season.

St. Augustine is better off with at least 1.5-2” per week.

Customer B mowed maybe once every two weeks at 2- 2.5 inches.

Both were on a treatment schedule and both watered as they should.

Frequent mowing of your grass plus proper feeding and watering promotes lateral growth and thickening!
