Senior Miles Redfearn is working an apprenticeship this year at
Kruser Construction, located in Kieler, Wisconsin.

Classmate Ben Dreessens interviewed Miles to see what exactly this job entails:

Miles stated, "A regular day a work usually starts at 7am, and every day I do different tasks from framing new homes, pouring concrete, finishing work, dirt work, insulation, building decks, installing windows and doors, flooring, and almost anything you can think of."

He went on to say "My favorite thing about working for Kruser Construction is that every day is different, which I enjoy because my days don't repeat. I like how I learn different skills that I can use in the rest of my life whenever I may need them. I also enjoy how a lot of days I work outside, which is great."

He summed his experience up by saying "My favorite task to do at work is probably finishing work. This includes things like trimming, doors, cabinets, and floors. My favorite part of these tasks is that the work has to be perfect because these are the things that people will see and use every day. I also like being able to be part of the finished home and seeing it and being there when it is fully completed."

Sounds like very beneficial on-the-job work experience!
