Burke's 1967 Westfalia almost ready! Sad to say it sat in someone's shop for about 1 year and nothing was done to it. Then thanks to the VW community Burke was sent my way and right away we figured out a game plan. Now it's almost ready in less than 1 work week. I started with gas tank R&R, new fuel level sender, new engine mounts, all new brake system including hard and soft lines, front disc brake conversion and dual circuit master cylinder upgrade. I also did new rear main seal, clutch set, new shocks and all new fuel lines. Next I'll go through all the wiring, lights and then some cosmetic stuff but this baby will be back on the road in no time!

Being a preservation style build I decided to use as much of the old hardware as possible. One of my favorite pieces is the ATE brake line Ts which cleaned up really nice!

Something most techs won't tell you... Not every test drive goes as planned. But I do whatever it takes to get it done right for you, so you're not stuck on the side of the road. I had dialed in this 1966's engine in the previous months but the electrical was now acting up. After inspection, I found many gremlins which is why it left me stranded a few times last night. Thanks to for being on standby and coming to the rescue. Regardless of the situation, it was such a beautiful night, perfect for working on VWs 😉

Final tune on the Brothers VW built 2165cc beast for their client. I tuned it on a FT450. Man did this thing play hard to get. In the end I was victorious and it was just so much fun to drive!

Going to be putting in some OT the next couple of days. Hope to have this 1962 bad boy driving before the weekend. Starting with a shell that was painted and had the pan powder coated over 8 years ago and then sat. It deserves some love. I will be the one to finish it! 😉 On that graveyard shift. Like said it, hustle from 9-5 and then hustle harder from 5-9!
