The McCord Mansion is getting paint on the cabinets and tile is starting soon! We're ready to see the color start to flood into this laundry room. Anyone else also jealous of all that storage??

⏳️ So where did that bathroom start? ⏳️

Here's a small glimpse of how we found this client's bathroom before we took a hammer to it. Some slight shifting allowed us to expand the shower and open the space up to feel very luxurious for a space in a basement with zero windows. Same color pallet but in a brighter way! 🚽 🧼 🚿

🖌️🎨Time to add some Color! 🎨🖌️

We're finally ready for a brighter view at the McCord Mansion! Paint is being applied, tile is waiting in the wings, and final finishes were confirmed with the team. Although we're in a basement, we think this room is going to offer some delightful sunshine and joy for the dull chore of laundry. These next few weeks will be busy so stay tuned!

🧐 Another room you say?? 🧐

While working on the McCord Mansion, our eyes drifted to another space in the basement that could use some TLC. And when the owners suggested a room specifically for gardening we were green with envy that we didn't think of it ourselves! And speaking of green... we are all in love with this distressed green paint. We'll be adding a bit of patina to the more solid paint wall, because we're digging the moss look. What do you think?

🤌 With a history this rich, the details need to match! 🤌

So instead of a traditional wood window sill at the McCord Mansion, we’re going with marble. We heavily believe that the devil is in the details and these small touches really elevate a space. Elegant, timeless, and just a little dramatic… the way we like it! 🤍

This new elevator construction has started and we're getting creative over here! Some slight shifts and nudges to a closet and fireplace but we're still cooking with gas. 🔥🔥🔥

Finding the right home as you age is a challenge. And mobility shouldn't be the only reason why you pick a place to hang your hate in the winter of your life. We've often been asked to help make some adjustments to our client's homes to help them stay in them as long as possible, and this adjustment is all about gaining mobility between floors! So what do you think? Can we make this spot work for an elevator? ⬆️ ⬇️ 🛗

👑 Time for Crown!! 👑

The McCord Mansion laundry room is finally getting some crown installed! We're building a space that will put a little joy back into a boring chore. To brighten up the room and make it feel a lot less like a basement, we're adding some decorative beams with stunning crown that match the historic character of this historically RICH home! And don't worry... there's some great details coming to that chute soon so stay tuned!
