The craziest thing we've ever seen in a log! Evan Johnson was milling on the 6000 today and cut a horseshoe in half. As large as this walnut log is and based on the depth, I'm guessing it's been there over 100 years.

The Howard Schoolhouse is very much part of Jackson County, Mo. history. I'm honored to have a part in the restoration of this 1 room schoolhouse that's over 150 years old. As you can see from the photos, the old windows were beyond saving. The new windows are built entirely from rift-sawn White Oak and sold last another 150 years. Happy Memorial Day everyone!
