When a site-wide blade LEP campaign is mobilized, the first priority is making sure every technician starts with the same plan, the same controls, and the same safety expectations.

That means aligning scope, confirming roles, reviewing hazards, page turns, equipment checks, material inventory, and task rehearsals with crew members, walking through daily and weekly activities before work begins.

Our kickoff process is designed to set clear expectations from the start.

The “stretch and bend” for a safe, focused shift is part of that rhythm too.

Precision starts long before the first tool is used.

Before any up-tower scope begins, ask these 5 questions:

1) Is the rescue plan current and site-specific?
2) Has weather been reviewed for the full work window?
3) Are tools and equipment inspected and calibrated?
4) Is the crew fit for duty, with clear roles and a shared understanding of the service or lift plan?
5) Have all hazards been identified and controls confirmed?

Task- specific planning can improve dropped-object prevention, rescue readiness, and component handling controls.

No more climbing. Just precision access. The Sky Climber Vertical Assist System (VAS) transforms how wind technicians move inside wind turbine towers.

Launched March 2026, VAS is a proprietary vertical assist solution engineered to reduce vertical exposure, lower technician fatigue, and shorten time-to-task for up-tower maintenance. Designed for compatibility with common tower geometries, VAS integrates with GWO-certified rescue protocols and supports our ISO 45001 safety management approach.

For EHS leaders, VAS means fewer manual climbs, reduced LTI risk, and measurable uptime improvements when paired with our up-tower services, MCE, and gearbox work. Learn how VAS can fit into your O&M program and site procedures: https://skyclimber-re.com/vas/

Interested in a pilot or site assessment? How are you addressing vertical exposure in 2026?

We’re in Orlando this week for the American Clean Power Association’s Operations, Maintenance & Safety Conference connecting with operators, technicians, and industry partners about the realities of maintaining wind fleets at scale.

Our teams spend thousands of hours each year inside turbine towers supporting preventative maintenance, blade repair campaigns, and major corrective work. Those field experiences often inspire ideas for how the work itself can be improved.

This week at , we’re giving the first public look at our patented Vertical Assist System (VAS), a new approach to tower access designed to help reduce climb fatigue and support safer turbine maintenance.

If you’re attending OMS, stop by booth #313 and see the VAS in person.

From the Helena Wind Farm in Texas, SCR technicians capture a quiet moment between maintenance tasks, where wind and solar work together to power thousands of homes. Behind every turbine and panel is a team focused on safe, efficient and reliable performance in all conditions.

Between lifts, inspections, and tight repower milestones in North Central Texas, our technicians and site leaders took a moment to gather, share a meal, and celebrate Christmas together. Even while working through the holidays, this team keeps safety, quality, and reliability at the center of every turbine they return to service.

Thank you to everyone on this Repower project for showing incredible .
