🏠 Underdeck Complete — Waterfront Deck Transformation!

Another Undercover Systems project in the books! ✅

This one had a few twists along the way — but that's exactly why we walk every job through with the homeowner before locking anything in. Once we got up close, the customer realized he didn't love how far the wood hung down on the cantilever section, so we pivoted: canceled that portion and focused our full attention on dialing in the main deck underdeck system. We also swapped the wood from pressure-treated to Prime Cedar per his preference — a great call for the finished look.

From there, our crew:
🔨 Framed and installed the gutter system with dual downspouts
🌧️ Cut, notched, riveted, and sealed every gutter corner for a clean, weatherproof finish
💧 Wet-tested the entire system before moving forward
🪵 Cut, drilled, and installed all ceiling panels
💡 Ran new wiring and installed 5 recessed undercover lights + a dimmer switch
🧽 Wiped down, walked the customer through access panel removal, and left the space spotless

The result: a completely dry, finished, lit outdoor living space underneath the deck — turning wasted square footage into a space this family can actually use, rain or shine. ☔️➡️☀️

Here's what went into this one:
🔲 White bead board panels installed for a clean, bright, finished ceiling 🌲 Pre-primed cedar trim added along 66 linear feet for a durable, upgraded look 💡 4" recessed lighting — 6 total fixtures added for better everyday lighting underneath the deck 🌧️ Downspouts tied into two existing lines on the home, plus drain guards installed for easy maintenance 📐 24 extra corner details, wrapping cleanly around every large post 🔧 Box beams, flashing, and sealing all finished for a fully weathertight system — built for real PNW rain

This project also came with a few curveballs — obstructions on the home meant our crew had to re-plan the gutter system on-site, ultimately building a double A-frame with bay gutter to get the proper slope. That's the kind of problem-solving Undercover Systems PNW handles daily, so every system performs the way it should, not just looks good.

The result: a fully finished, weather-protected outdoor living space this homeowner can actually use, rain or shine.

This Undercover Systems installation in Puyallup, WA transformed the space beneath the deck into a clean, dry, and usable outdoor area in just one day. The project featured a 9x19 Undercover System covering approximately 171 square feet using flat white panels for a bright, finished appearance.

The system included 18 linear feet of pre-primed material on both sides along with 56 linear feet of box gutter installation to efficiently manage water drainage. The structure was designed with a slope angled back toward the house to ensure proper water flow into the gutter system.

During installation, the crew completed the initial walkthrough, installed all framing wood and gutter components, sealed and installed the downspout system, cleaned the existing gutter, and precisely cut and installed all ceiling panels for a seamless finish. The system was fully cleaned upon completion, and the site was thoroughly cleaned and packed up before departure.

The finished product provides a clean, functional dry space beneath the deck while maintaining a polished and professional appearance.
