✨ Ponte Vedra beauty meets design collaboration! ✨

We partnered with Jason from Square Root Garden Design, LLC and our designer, Leslie, to transform this front yard into a stunning blend of water and garden. 🌿💧

From revitalizing an aging pond into a modern waterfall feature, to weaving in unique textures, boulders, and plantings beneath hundred-year-old oaks on the Intracoastal—this project is all about harmony between nature and design.

Huge thanks to Square Root Garden Design for teaming up with us on this one—we hope it’s just the first of many! 🙌

Such an amazing project we recently wrapped in Marsh Landing. It was a project that incorporated almost every aspect of available services we offer at Square Root.

Best of all, it was the perfect opportunity to bring in the stellar subcontractor talent that we’ve been fortunate to align ourselves with over the past several years. I’m not exactly fond of the ‘sub’ in subcontractor when it comes to working with these amazingly talented craftsmen. We were given the opportunity to bring in the right people on a shared vision to address Plantscape, Hardscape, Aquascape, Drainage, Irrigation, Illumination and Carpentry.

We couldn’t have asked for a more kind and trusting client to allow us to see out the vision for the space.

2024 has been much about gratitude and perspective for us as we ‘set our roots’ in the magnificent and beautiful Jacksonville area. We’ve simply been blessed to have the opportunity to align our talents with some of the best in Jacksonville and shake hands with spectacular folks that make this area great.

Here’s to you and yours in having a stellar remainder of the year and we can wait for the prospects that await us on ‘25. Thanks for trusting Square Root in helping you ‘find your space.’ 🙏🏻

Shout-out to .deaver, cinematographer/photographer and FAA certified drone pilot. He came by a few weeks ago to catch up, have some fun and display his talents with a couple drone passes of this beautiful San Marco riverside residence that generated and installed a rear landscape plan for years ago!

Can’t believe this project was already 11 years ago! This was actually designed and constructed during my time at O’Brien Landscape. I was pleased to a part of the team that brought this together.

Shade garden, naturalized vegetation to create privacy along back property line, edible garden space and one heck of a central vantage point living space to enjoy all of the above! Some interesting and virtually invisible drainage solutions by way of dry creek beds were also involved to wrap up one heck of a view!

Flashback to a couple weeks ago when my great friends had us out to get funky with some lighting in the desert. Ventured to beautiful Chandler, AZ to install a Luxor ZDC (Zoning, Dimmable, Color Change) system in their already beautiful backyard that I had been giving some pointers on over the last several years.

They had done a stellar job of making it their own and putting in so much great structure and balance. It was so fun to play with some effects on a different medium that is the great desert landscape! We put several of the color changing focal point fixtures on slow rolling and staggered ‘color wheel’ which enables the scene-scape to never be the same when entertaining and looking into the space.

However, with a push of a button on their Wi-Fi app, the desert landscape can snap into a uniform 2700 kelvin warm glow. A system of this nature can also pair back it’s scheduled output to a low level ‘evening security’ level when it’s time to pull up for the night. Very fun product and install. 😃

Just wrapped this front yard garden renovation for a great client and fellow former midwesterner 😉 in Beauclerc this week. Another fun construct in collaboration with the very talented and skilled team of Good Tides. As always, had a fun time getting dirty and get’n’r done. I’ve also included a photo of the rear outdoor space we had the privilege of tackling last year.
