Tobin Yard Maintenance Tobin Yard Maintenance established in 2014 provides weekly, biweekly or occasional mowing and trimming for residential and business properties

Jon Tobin is a born and raised farmer in western Massachusetts with a BA in Business Management from Sullivan University, Kentucky. He began farming at young age on his family’s farm- The Tobin Family Farm. Besides learning to drive on a tractor, Jon mastered the ins and outs of growing, pruning, planting, watering and fertilizing from the family business. Jon wanted to put those skills to good us

e but not before learning how to run a business. Jon thought big and decided to attend the American University of Rome for its rich culture in food and language. For three years he studied Business Management and the Italian language before returning to Kentucky to complete his degree. Returning in 2009 to his home in the Happy Valley, Jon worked for Steve Holt Landscaping and realized where his passion lied. Landscaping combines his expertise in growing and running a professional business all in one package. Jon’s First career is buying produce for a local distributor with his next big venture emerging and growing fast. Tobin Yard Maintenance established in 2014 provides weekly, biweekly or occasional mowing and trimming for residential properties and local businesses. The growing businesses hopes to add more services such as cleanups, planting, mulching, fertilizing, over seeding, seed slicing and complete lawn restoration in the spring of 2015. Jon’s accounts are filling up fast so please call or email to set up a free “lawn talk” at 413-727-2297 [email protected]

Unfortunately, TYM is not taking on any new business at this time. Thank you to all who have used our services in the past. If things change down the road, we’ll let you know.

Fertilizer, whether chemical or organic, this time of year will give your lawn the much needed food it needs after its winter dormancy to green up and fill out. Feed your lawns.

Unfortunately, we are booked for work for the season. But if you need a recommendation for lawn service or landscaping/hardscaping work, feel free to reach out to us. We can recommend some great people and companies to get your sanctuary in amazing shape for the summer.

Starting off the season with a little hedge control. This privet hedge has gotten a little too far ahead of itself and the home owner wanted to take control. Privets, along with burning bushes, can take a substantial pruning early in the season and still produce a nice foundation for the new shrubbery for the summer.

So, life’s been a bit hectic at Casa di Tobin lately. Ella has been busy with pony club (horseback riding) and softball. She’s doing great in school, too. But next year we’ll be doing the school of choice thing and she’ll be attending Frontier Regional. Jonny is getting bigger every day (as kids do. They grow) and we’re busy with potty training. Kate has become more involved with and important to her programs with the Lead prevention program with her job and is in eastern Mass at least 1 day a week, often two.
So on a sad note, Tobin Yard Maintenance is shutting down so I can be more accessible for the kids and wife. It was a great run and I loved working for all my clients. We have a lot of projects around the house that have taken a back seat to my work and need to be addressed. And I’ve become more involved with snowmobiling politics at a state level that will take my time in the the next year or so. To all my customers, past and present, I want to say thank you. I hope I met all your expectations and hopefully exceeded some of them. I may have time for the occasional project here and there, but family has to come first.
I’m sure as life goes on and the children get older, thing will get busier or more hectic. But I love to work, so I’ll see you out there taking care of the yard.
Thanks.

Unfortunately, this is effecting many lawns and landscaping projects in our area.

Unfortunately, this is effecting many lawns and landscaping projects in our area.

It's pretty tough to do yard work with all the rainy days we've been dealing with.

27/04/2019

Due to Mother Nature and all the rain, spring cleanups and de-thatching are behind schedule. If we haven’t reached your lawn yet, please know we have it on our to-do list.
