We are in Angel Fire spray foaming an addition to a house and a barn. We will only be here this week, but will be back again later this fall for another barn. Do you ever wonder how much heat is lost through your roof? I didn’t get done spraying the roof decking yesterday. This is 10:00 this morning. You can tell exactly where I sprayed. This is a house that I sprayed the roof decking. Now they added on 10ft on the back of the house and you can see the the line in the roof. But this picture proves what foam can do. No heat is escaping. It works the other way too. Think about your attic in the summer. It’s so hot and most of your air ducts are in the attic. Think how much cooler your house would be if your attic was cooler.

Here is more information for you. I sprayed this attic with 4” open cell foam. It’s a 1800sqft house approx. Nothing else changed. Look at the difference in heating and cooling difference. Not much different in the monthly temps.

Well I knew it was coming. I was ready for it. I am in Angel Fire NM spraying a gym for a church. And after that I have a house up the mountains behind Angel Fire to spray. If you haven’t thought about foam you should. The gym is 50x100x20. I have 3/4 of walls sprayed with 1” closed cell and 1/3 of the roof. As you can see it is 9 degrees here. It is 27 inside the gym. There’s no heat in there at all. But the foam has helped keep that much heat in. Can’t wait to get it sprayed and they can see what a difference it will make for them.

I think you can save more then that using spray foam. Spraying your attic to reduce the temp in the summer will help a lot.
