We want to take a moment to share that Laurie has been nominated as one of the candidates for business partner of the year. Laurie, is a very humble lady and I may even get in trouble for posting (just kidding). She has a very big heart, loves and supports her community, and does this all very quietly never seeking public acknowledgment for all she does. She is definitely a woman who does it all. Out in the field being a project manger for new home construction at her business she owns Bethel Builders, LLC. Not only does she do most of the baking at her coffee shop she owns Bethel Brews and Bites she also jumps in when needed and serves the customers. Then she goes home to one of her farms she owns Bethel Farms, Inc. Bethel Farms serves as a supplier for farm to table experience at the coffee/sandwich shop. While in her "free time" she also serves as a leader at her church here in town. We are all very proud to have such a strong and giving leader here at Bethel Builders and Bethel Brews and Bites.

Laurie Nichols has built more than businesses in Louisa County — she has built opportunities, experiences, and community connections.
As the owner of Bethel Builders, LLC, Bethel Brews and Bites, Bethel Farms, and Bethel Property Management, Laurie’s leadership reaches across construction, agriculture, hospitality, and small business development. From managing custom home builds across Virginia to early mornings baking in the coffee shop and caring for livestock on her farms, Laurie’s work ethic and dedication are reflected in every part of her businesses.
Over the past 17 years, Laurie has grown Bethel Builders from a single home build into a respected company constructing 20–30 homes annually while employing local residents and supporting local trades. She also transformed Bethel Brews & Bites into a destination gathering place that has become part of the daily rhythm of the community.
Known for empowering her teams, embracing innovation, and investing back into the community, Laurie leads with grit, vision, and heart. Her businesses actively support local schools, nonprofits, events, and organizations throughout Louisa County.
