Prior to our visit, a plumber had replaced the home's backflow device (the PVB) and used a saw to cut down the copper pipe. Unfortunately, a massive chunk of those metal cuttings washed straight down the line and got deeply embedded right into the Rainbird DV100 valve diaphragm. Because that copper shard was jamming the mechanism, the valve couldn't close fully, creating that constant driveway puddle.

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙂𝙪𝙧𝙪 𝙁𝙞𝙭:
🛠️ 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Instead of forcing a costly and unnecessary replacement of the entire valve casing, we carefully extracted the copper chunk, flushed the lines clean, and completely restored the original valve to perfect working order.
