This month’s Project Spotlight takes us to St. Augustine Beach, where our team completed a thoughtful pool renovation designed to improve functionality, enhance outdoor living, and introduce new gathering spaces throughout the backyard.
The renovation included a complete spa transformation featuring new tile finishes, updated fittings, extended spillway detailing, and the addition of a raised linear fire feature that creates a striking focal point beside the water. Throughout the project, the existing decking and coping were replaced with bluestone pavers and matching bluestone coping, giving the space a clean, timeless coastal aesthetic.
To improve the overall layout and usability of the pool, a portion of the existing swim lane was closed in and reimagined as a dedicated outdoor feature area. New bluestone stepping pads paired with integrated bubblers introduce movement, sound, and a natural transition through the space, while updated LED lighting enhances the backyard ambiance after sunset.
Additional upgrades included replastering the pool, new waterline tile, updated plumbing and circulation components, and smart automation improvements designed to modernize both performance and ease of use.
The result is a refined coastal renovation that blends fire, water, and natural materials into one cohesive outdoor environment—creating a backyard retreat designed for both relaxation and entertaining.
