Just wrapped up this one-of-a-kind desk for a very special client, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

Built from solid black walnut, this piece showcases some incredible natural grain patterns that really come alive in the natural sun light. The design balances a clean, professional look with a bit of character—featuring a paneled pedestal base on one side and an open adjustable height shelving unit on the other for both style and function.

Every detail was designed and crafted with intention—from the subtle edge profile on the top to the rich, hand-applied finish that brings out the depth and warmth of the walnut.

Awesome addition to the shop complete! Definitely one of the most challenging things I’ve built. Weighing in at over 500 lbs this workbench is a monster. The pics don’t do it’s size justice at all. It’s based on Christopher Schwartz’s “The Anarchists Workbench”. An awesome read and an awesome design. It’s a modern version of the Roubo workbench, designed in the 18th century by French cabinet maker Andre Jacob Roubo. There’s a reason why this design has endured… if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!

No cedar fence pickets were harmed during the making of this planter! The locally sourced cedar lumber was grown right here in Georgia. Unfortunately for the tree, it fell naturally during hurricane Helene and was rough sawn at a local mill. It now gets a new life as this beautiful planter with an integrated copper/cedar trellis. The planter also features a height adjustable drip tray. Its size was customized per the client’s specifications to fit their space perfectly. The planter can be made with or without the trellis and can be made in any size. If you’d like one for yourself, message me today!

Cedar is an attractive and resilient wood that's well-suited to a wide range of indoor and outdoor applications. Its natural charm, toughness, and near immunity to bugs make it outstanding in many home enhancing projects. These planks in particular have such beautiful figuring!
