Reminiscing about the cooler season I planted these hydrangeas in… because this heat is ridiculous! They’re still looking good though.

The secret isn’t just watering. It’s planting the right shrub in the right place.

Today's break from the heat made landscape bed cleanup so relaxing. Easy digging and pulling. Pleasant conversation. Light breeze. Beautiful flowers. Bird and water sounds. Today was a definitely a good day.

This side yard started as a muddy problem area where grass simply wouldn’t thrive. We corrected the grade to improve drainage away from the house, then added a winding gravel path and new garden beds for a more whimsical feel.

The plants may be small now, but just wait:

First year it sleeps. Second year it creeps. Third year it leaps.

In a few years, this space will be full, colorful, and completely transformed.

Back-to-school season is here 😭 but summer isn’t over yet!

We loved creating the landscaping around this neighborhood pool—a space designed for sunny afternoons, evening swims, and making the most of these last warm days.

Before schedules fill up and fall arrives, grab the sunscreen, head to the pool, and soak up a little more time with the kiddos 🥰.
