It was a tough garden year for some things.....
I grew up in a family that grew melons and cantaloupe every summer. Anywhere from 5-10 acres of 'em. On the "Arkansas River bottom lands." I even hauled some of that fine Sandy Loam home so I could grow them in a huge 100 gallon container here in Sedgwick county.
Well, I grew my first watermelon this year. Crimson Sweet. I thought that'd be a good place to start! Yep, pretty impressive.....until you realize it's the size of a ping pong ball! 😂😂😂🍉
Of course, I'll try again....if you don't fail at something every year, you're not gardening hard enough! ♥️
