2020 has been an interesting year to say the least, but it has also been a year of resurgence, gratitude, and a story that has come full circle for JDS Hydroplanes. 2020 marked the 65th running of the annual Vashon Island 4th of July Hydro marathon race - the race that started it all for JDS. As fate would have it, (and a little luck) 5 JDS Hydros built between the years 1985 to 2007 have found their way back to Vashon. We have also started a restoration project on the 1995 D-Mod Laydown Hydro "Trinity", a boat that arguably has the most elaborate history of all the JDS boats built!
