Watch my other reels I’ve already made for more in depth tips for the general knowledge test and interview. 🚜By the way, prepping for the application and intake process is not a requirement. A lot of people don’t prep and do just fine. 🎈But knowing what I know and seeing how competitive it’s getting if I had to do it all over again I’d be putting in effort and planning into it. Like A-LOT!!! I make these guides and reels for the people that want to help themselves be the best version of themselves that they can be. I’m not making any kind of guarantees here. Your results are based on you, not me. You got this!!!

Firstly, why should anyone planning on applying this year for O’ahu OE3 apprenticeship program be planning ahead of time for it?

- nothing official has been declared as far as a possible cap on applications being accepted for the island of Oahu.
-my personal opinion=I wouldnt be surprised if they decide to enforce a maximum of applications accepted based on active apprentices to waitpool list ratio as well as associated costs for processing and testing candidates.

What’s your best experience with a man in the trades?

I don’t think it’s said enough but there are good men out there that are allies to women in the trades. I’ve had my fair share of “bad” experiences but I can easily think of 5 times off the top of my head where I had great mentorship and coaching from men as well. I still keep in contact with a few of them.

The best way to make people want to help you be your best is showing up, trying your hardest, listening and applying what they tell you to do. If they give you a homework assignment, just do it. Most people won’t. That little gesture can go such a long way and they’ll continue to be your ally and supporter for many years to come.
