Well, it's been a little bit since we last posted....
This project is basically 99% complete, minus a last minute addition unrelated to this portion. I've removed the signage as they haven't opened to the public yet and I don't want to spoil anyone's fun. But here's a rundown of the entire scope of the job.
-Painted all the blue walls
-Disassembled anywhere between 75-100 pallets
-Planed and sanded
-Stained everything with 5 different color choices using Minwax wood stain (Ipswitch Pine, Provincial, Special Walnut, Jacobean and Ebony) Shout-out to Minwax awesome products!
-Framed and assembled the large counter by the windows
-Covered the existing small bar with the wooden facade
-Same for the larger kitchen bar
-Framed around the existing front columns and wrapped with new 1x4
-Framed and assembled 2 display boxes for seasonal decorations
-Built faux awning above entryway
-2 coats of Minwax Polyurethane on all wood surfaces
-And hung a TV as a last minute freebie
Also shout out to the guys at the Washington and Greenville, NC Sherwin-Williams reps, with my 14 years experience with them they've always been top notch.
This was a really fun project, and learned a few things along the way. One last loose end to finish up tomorrow, and then it's off to the next project!
