Thatch: what is it?
Thatch is a layer of living and dead stems, leaves and roots. It resides between the layer of your actively growing turf and the soil underneath.
An excessively thick thatch layer can restrict the movement of water, air, fertilizer, and other nutrients to the roots. It can also harbor fungus and other disease. It is also a poor growing medium and thus can inhibit a thick turf stand as well as ability to resist drought.
We offer raking services to help break down and remove portions of thatch layers in turf. Benefitting your lawn with better breathabilty and ability to accept nutrients.
Spring spots are filling, reserve one for your lawn.
