Sandstar Custom Cabinets is family owned and operated and is located in the Northeastern part of Oklahoma. Founder, Larry Retherford, had over 40 years experience in the industry, building his first set of cabinets in Redding, California in 1972. He worked for various custom cabinet shops in California and Colorado before establishing Sandstar Custom Cabinets in 1983. Larry retired, turning the r

eigns over to his son, Tom Retherford, and wife, JoElla, in Autumn of 2016. Tom & JoElla reside in the Tahlequah area with their 3 daughters, and plan to keep the cabinet business a family tradition for many years to come. This is truly a family operated business, with several members of the family involved with all aspects of the job from the office work, planning & design stages, during construction, and through the completion of the job. Larry passed away in 2018, but we continue in his honor, and remain dedicated to maintaining the same level of quality and excellent service for which Sandstar has been known. We take pride in creating quality products to fit your specific needs, using the highest quality craftsmanship and taking the necessary steps to get the job done right.

Sandstar Custom Cabinets is looking for part-time, seasonal help. Tasks may include shop cleanup, organization, light lifting, outside yard work including mowing, weeding, removing trash, etc.

Applicants must have a valid Oklahoma Drivers license and reliable transportation to our shop in Welling. No previous carpentry experience required. Pay will be discussed, based on experience, ability, and willingness to learn.

Sandstar is looking for help! Now hiring for a Cabinet Shop General Laborer. Duties may include but are not limited to loading and unloading deliveries, cabinet construction and installation, jobsite cleanup, and general shop maintenance. This is a part to full-time position and applicant must be available Mon-Fri with opportunities for overtime hours during busy periods. Willing to work around college schedules!

Applicant MUST:
1. Be able to lift 50+ lbs on a regular basis.
2. Have a VALID driver's license and reliable transportation.
3. Communicate well and have a reliable means of communication for scheduling and work related issues. (No call/no shows will not be tolerated.)
4. Show up to every shift, ready to work, and willing to learn.

Experience is not required, but pay scale varies based on experience. Raises available with proof of skill and/or effort. Apply online or resumes may be emailed to [email protected] or a paper application can be requested, as needed.
