A two year project. A 1900 German made hall clock. As a comparison my 6 feet 2 inches grandson is standing next to the final clock. The original owner sent the clock out in 1970 and had it painted to match her French Provençal furniture. She also had the top left of the clock cut off to fit under her stair case. Now that her granddaughter owns the clock, all the white paint was removed and the original mahogany. With my son and grandson, it took 3 generations of Davis’ to get the clock back and set up. Info on the clock: height just under 9’, solid mahogany, 9 tubes, 2 chimes (identified on the dial as Westminster and 8 tube chime) weights about 300 pounds when full assembled, movement was made in 1900 in Germany, not sure where case was made but it says Royal Furniture, Grand Rapids on the dial.
