Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical codes, blueprints, and safety protocols. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will work closely with a team of professionals to ensure high-quality service and the safety of all electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, panels, circuits, and lighting.
• Diagnose electrical issues and provide efficient solutions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical code regulations.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes.
• Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards and prevent failures.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems using test equipment and hand tools.
• Collaborate with other trades and team members to complete projects on time.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentice electricians.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements:
• Valid Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an electrician.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Willingness to work in various environments, including residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with low voltage systems, such as data, fire alarms, and security systems.
• OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification.
• Additional certifications in specialized electrical work (e.g., motor controls, PLC systems, etc.).
