Backyard Escapes is now booking residential excavation projects for this fall!

Our equipment allows us to work efficiently while still getting into residential areas where larger machines may not be practical.

We recently installed 1,150 sq. ft. of Kentucky Bluegrass sod for one of our loyal repeat customers, and we didn’t just roll sod over the existing ground and call it a day!

We completed extensive excavation and soil preparation, removing the existing material and bringing in fresh soil to help reduce w**d pressure and give this new lawn the foundation it needs to grow thick, green, and lush. 🌱🔥

Everybody help us wish a very Happy Birthday to my mother, but around here she’s better known as Backyard Escapes’ Project Manager! 💚😎

She’s the one behind the scenes answering phones, keeping paperwork together, helping keep projects organized, dealing with customers, and probably reminding me about 100 things I forgot to do. 😂

We appreciate everything you do for Backyard Escapes, but more importantly, I appreciate everything you do as my mother. ❤️

🧱 Another Retaining Wall Transformation Complete! 💪🏾

We recently wrapped up this segmental retaining wall project in Allegheny, replacing an old, failing timber wall with a new R.I. Lampus Versa-Lok wall, accented with a Country Stone band in Anthracite. 🔥

But this project wasn’t just about replacing the wall — we were able to make the space work better for the homeowner too!

We moved the new wall back approximately 4 feet, giving the customer a wider, more functional driveway while also eliminating concerns with the existing electrical pole and right-of-way.

This customer was an absolute pleasure to work for! We battled through some serious summer heat ☀️🥵, kept pushing, and got this project across the finish line.

A properly built retaining wall can do more than hold back soil — it can completely change the function, appearance, and usability of your property.

Sometimes it’s the little details that take a project from “nice” to “wow.” 😎

The customer had extra pavers left over, so instead of letting them sit on a pallet… we decided to add a soldier course around the outdoor bar to give it that clean finished look and make the whole patio pop even more. 🤷🏾‍♂️😜

That’s the difference when you care about the final product. We’re always looking for ways to elevate a project and give our customers something that feels custom and intentional.

Anybody can lay pavers. The details are what separate the work. 🔥
