Wise words from our ISA Certified Arborist.

Not every tree with structural issues needs to be removed. In many cases, professional bracing combined with structural pruning can greatly improve stability and reduce risk.

This tree had multiple large leaders creating stress at key attachment points. We performed light targeted structural pruning to reduce excess weight, then installed two brace rods to support weak unions and control excessive movement during wind events.

Why bracing matters:
• Helps share the load between major limbs
• Reduces strain at weak branch unions
• Limits excessive sway during storms
• Lowers the likelihood of sudden failure
• Extends the life of valuable, mature trees
