While replacing the unit, we noticed the old gas valve had an outside packing nut—a style known for eventually drying out and developing leaks over time.

Today we brought a seriously stinky laundry setup up to code! 🧼🔧

​The old setup was… creative, to say the least. Someone had installed an underground sump pit with a standpipe buried straight into it just to pump laundry water overhead. Not only was it a major code violation, but it was also creating a terrible odor problem in the house.

​Our fix:
-Filled in and permanently sealed the pit for good.
-​Installed a clean, code-compliant aboveground lift pump.

Odor gone, code violation solved, and another basement saved! 🛠️💪

Fifteen wall-hung toilets in one commercial space needed a complete update. We replaced each bowl, installed open front seats, and upgraded the flush valves to automatic models. In the men's room, we also swapped out three urinals for new ones with a battery-powered automatic flush.

Every kitchen upgrade comes with a few surprises. On this project in Maize, we were called to connect a new oven, cap off unused gas lines, and check the whole setup for leaks.

Careful pressure testing is a must for any gas work. We made sure every connection was secure and every abandoned line was safely closed off. The space is now ready for safe cooking, with all gas lines meeting local code.
