Evergy's new Home Efficiency Financing Program can help qualifying Kansas customers make a high-efficiency HVAC upgrade more affordable, but the amount available for financing depends on the individual project.

Evergy's calculation considers available incentives, the cost of the eligible HVAC upgrade and the system's estimated energy savings. From there, it determines the amount eligible for financing and whether an upfront customer payment is required.

The remaining eligible amount may be financed at 𝟬% 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝟭𝟱 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀, with a fixed monthly charge added to your Evergy electric bill.

That's why we don't want to tell you what the program will look like for your home until we've looked at your numbers.

Turning the thermostat down farther won’t make your home cool down faster.

Your air conditioner cools at the same rate whether you set the thermostat to 72 or crank it all the way down to 65. A much lower setting simply tells the system to keep running longer.
