Getting closer to the final reveal of this Sag Harbor dream home.

Here’s the pantry, in Farrow & Ball French Gray (No. 18).
In this hyper functional space, just off the main kitchen, we have:
-24” Speed Oven
-Undercounter beverage fridge
-Full sized dishwasher
-Full sized trash pullout
-30” undermount sink with marble apron front
-Brass hang bar
-Glass display cabinets
-Mesh front bread, produce, and snack pullouts
-33” appliance garage
-Ample storage

This space looks great and will work hard, allowing the main kitchen some breathing room for clutter free entertaining space.

What’s on your pantry must-have list?

*INITIAL DESIGN*
I don’t usually share initial designs, but this kitchen and pantry renovation are coming together in a special way that I’m very excited about.

The plans called for an 11’ flat painted ceiling. By dropping a 12” soffit around the upper cabinetry, and adding a recessed tray, we gave the ceiling its own spotlight treatment.

The window passes through to an outdoor bar and thus had to remain in place, so achieving both symmetry and functionality on the sink wall was tricky.

This is the value of designing in 3D first. Try it and change it before it’s too costly to do so in reality.

I’d love to help you build with confidence. Message me to join the hundreds of other homeowners, just like you, who have.

A classic. Here’s the final edit to the Jacksonville remodel. The kitchen in this house of arches and angles is getting a serene palette and maximum vertical storage, making use of 11’ ceilings in a relatively compact footprint. I don’t always recommend cabinetry reaching the ceiling over 9’, but here, it works beautifully for both form and function.

Bye stucco and terracotta!

Next up, the primary and guest baths.

This project started with a small kitchen and became so much more.

By reworking the layout, we created a generous kitchen with a large central island, a dedicated mudroom off the back entrance, and a full back kitchen tucked behind the range wall.

The result is better flow, significantly more function, and major added value, all thoughtfully planned before construction begins.

Building or renovating? I can help you optimize your layout, develop detailed cabinetry plans, and visualize your material selections so your build team has a clear roadmap and you never have to simply hope the finished space turns out the way you imagined.

*FINAL DESIGN*
New Smyrna Beach, FL

When I design a kitchen with my clients, I do my best to plan as many standard sized boxes as possible.

This way, whether they ultimately go fully custom, or pre fab, the design we create can be largely executed at any price point.

If you’re building or renovating and want to make the myriad of choices involved in this process in 3D while they’re still cheap to decide or change, message me.

Nashville, TN

People think my job is making a kitchen pretty, but where I really ass value is in making sure it works first, then making it pretty.

That includes sight-lines from the living room, where the vacation mugs hide, how the ceiling changes from beam to plank to flat to tell you which room you’re standing in. Those calls got made here, before a single wall went up.

Swipe on to check out the Kitchen, pantry, wet bar, and living space of this new construction stunner.

Stay tuned for the Primary suite, laundry, mudroom, and guest bath up next.

Three sides of island seating meant the refrigerator could not open once anyone sat on that side…

Final Design | Portola Valley, CA

Rooms: Kitchen, kids bath, powder bath

The catch: seating wrapped three sides of the island, which put a stool inside the refrigerator door swing. Same plan had hanging lanterns under an 8 foot ceiling. Even at their shortest adjusted height they would have dropped into the sightline across the island.

The fix: seating moved to the back side of the island only. Full depth storage cabinets added to the back side. Lanterns swapped for a single linear pendant that mounts higher and keeps the range wall and slab backsplash visible from the room.

Caught now, this is a plan revision. Caught after the island cabinetry is built and the stone is templated, add the cost of new cabinetry and three to four weeks on the schedule.

Walls and cabinetry: Benjamin Moore Seapearl OC-19, color drenched

Powder: Sherwin-Williams Black Bean SW 6006, color drenched

Kids bath walls: Farrow & Ball Salt CC5

If your plans are final but your cabinetry order is not, this is the perfect window to work with me. DM me your plans to start.

*INITIAL DESIGN*
This Jacksonville home has a great layout, but it’s buried under a sea of angles, archways, and a cabinetry layout that just felt awkward and out of touch with the way we live and move between the kitchen and living spaces today.

By removing the peninsula we were able to create a 9’ island, coffee bar, shallow depth pantry for dry goods and snacks (no forgetting if you’re out of breadcrumbs bc they’re buried at the back of the cabinet here), and improve the flow.

Check out the new vs old floor plan at the end.

Do you think I improved this kitchen layout?

If you’re building or renovating, I’ll help bridge the gap between your vision and your build team through thoughtful design that leaves you feeling confident, not confused.

INITIAL DESIGN

Classic Hamptons design is all about the details.

Coffered ceilings, beautiful millwork, paneled walls, warm white oak, natural marble, and unlacquered brass come together to create a home that feels timeless instead of trendy.

Designing everything in 3D first gave us the chance to perfect the layout, cabinetry, and material palette before construction began or materials were ordered.

Stay tuned for the final reveal.

*FINAL DESIGN*
Warm wood, blue-gray painted cabinetry, delft tile patterned tile, and soapstone round out the tasteful and classic design for my client in Bridgewater VA.

There’s teamwork engrained throughout this design, created bit by bit in Chief Architect Software. From the client’s beautiful materials and color choices, to the custom pantry door designed by liminal_3drenderings, to the perfectly matched stools (thanks Ali Maready Design | Interior Design + Renderings), to the beautiful photorealistic renderings produced using Patrick Resendiz suite of tools for designers.
