Caution to heat pump owners!! If you’re hiring a heat pump cleaning company ask some questions.
Do you repair heat pumps?
Do you have insurance?
I just had a customer called me. He had his heat pump cleaned, and one of the heads was not working, so I showed up and the main board fuse had blown, and the main board had to be replaced. The cleaning company that he hired was not willing to refund him, the cleaning cost nor the repair cost.
I actually called the young man to ask him some questions and plead to treat his customer right but it sure doesn’t seem like he was gonna do the right thing. The heat pump was running he cleaned it and then it wasn’t running.
It’s not intentional and it’s happened to me. Just sometimes you get water in the wrong place and it takes out a board you need to be able to replace that board at no cost of the customer. He didn’t have the knowledge to diagnose it nor the skills to replace it
Beware !
 The funny thing is his cleaning bill was higher than what mine would be, a veteran with 45+ years in the industry
