These yellow jackets found a sneaky little entrance under the homeowner’s roofing shingles and decided the wall would make a perfect new home. 🏠🐝

Unfortunately for them… we found the front door. 😎

Full suit on, up on the roof, and straight to the source! Yellow jackets can build large hidden nests inside wall voids, and by late summer they’re definitely not known for being friendly.

This homeowner had a very angry yellowjacket nest inside the wall of the home — and they eventually found their way INSIDE! 🏠🐝

The bedroom and window area ended up filled with yellowjackets as they worked their way through the wall. Definitely not something you want to wake up to! 😬

🐝 BALD-FACED HORNET SEASON IS HERE! 🐝

Another successful treatment today — and another awesome 5-star review! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This bald-faced hornet nest was discovered the hard way when someone mowing the grass got stung. These nests can be easy to miss until you get a little too close, and bald-faced hornets can get VERY defensive around their home! 😬

The best part of today’s job? We had a whole audience of kids watching from a safe distance while we handled the treatment. 😂🐝 They definitely got a pest-control lesson today!

🐝 YELLOWJACKETS FOUND A SECRET ENTRANCE! 🏠😳

These yellowjackets decided the front door wasn’t good enough… so they found a tiny crack about 30 FEET UP and turned it into their own private entrance! 😂🐝

From the ground, this crack doesn’t look like much — but yellowjackets only need a small opening to get inside a structure and build a nest. This homeowner started noticing them getting inside the house, and we tracked down exactly where they were coming from. 🔎

⚠️ Yellowjacket season is here! If you’re seeing them repeatedly around your roofline, siding, soffits, or even INSIDE your home, there’s a good chance you have a hidden nest.

🚨 FLEAS ARE TERRIBLE THIS YEAR! 🚨

We’ve seen an unusually high number of serious flea infestations across the Ohio Valley this season—and there are several reasons why.

Warm temperatures and high humidity allow flea eggs and larvae to develop faster. Shaded, damp areas under decks, porches, bushes and animal resting spots create ideal breeding conditions. Wildlife such as raccoons, opossums, squirrels and stray animals can also introduce fleas around a home—even when the homeowner doesn’t have pets.

Fleas are especially difficult because most of an infestation is hidden as eggs, larvae and protected pupae. According to the CDC, pupae can remain inside their cocoons until movement, warmth and carbon dioxide signal that a host is nearby. That’s why fleas may suddenly appear in large numbers—or seem to return after treatment.

If you notice fleas:

✅ Contact your veterinarian about treating every pet
✅ Vacuum floors, furniture and pet-resting areas frequently
✅ Wash pet bedding using hot water
✅ Avoid relying only on foggers or store-bought sprays
✅ Call a licensed pest-control professional before the infestation grows

Fleas usually require cooperation between the homeowner, veterinarian and pest-control professional. Follow-up treatments may also be necessary because flea pupae are naturally protected inside their cocoons.

Yellowjackets were getting inside this customer’s home because an entry hole had not been properly sealed. We located the problem and treated the nest! 🐝
