If you have a slow shower drain this might be the problem. No, this is not a dead animal! This is probably twenty years worth of hair down the drain. Before you call a plumber (or a handyman), try a one-use plastic drain stick. You can find one in a hardware store for about $2.50. If this doesn't work for you, give us a call at (615) 667-0033.

This week I replaced Delta tub/shower fixtures. This should have been a fairly simple job but it took several hours. The reason it took so long is because the fixtures had been leaking a long time and everything was calcified and stuck. I had to cut pieces off, trying to save the threads so we could install the new fixtures. If you have any plumbing fixtures that are leaking, I suggest you call me or someone else to have them fixed, because the longer you wait, the more it is going to cost.

I grew up in the 60's. My dad had a large workshop and I had to help him whether I liked it or not. It was good that he gave me that training because it allowed me to study to be an industrial electrician. I moved south and eventually had the chance to take the Nissan maintenance test. I passed it and worked there for 26 years. After taking early retirement I decided to start a handyman business. I have forty years of experience doing various related jobs.
