Just a reminder for everyone that it's already time for a pre-emergent treatment of your lawn. Your neighborhood home and garden center has a fairly good selection of product. Scott's is fairly effective, just make sure to get the right kind for your type of grass.
The best time to treat your lawn is early spring, before soil temperatures consistently reach around 55 degrees. This typically occurs between late February and March.
This is when most w**d seeds begin to germinate and the pre-emergent will be most effective in preventing them from sprouting.
