Attention ladies!
A word from your local automotive locksmith.
This little cute rings that go around your ignition are more trouble than they’re worth.
Around your keyway and behind that little button are components that need to be able to communicate with the key. When these are placed in front of them,. they can cause communication issues. Resulting in your vehicle going into anti-theft mode.
Now: if your vehicle is a push button start, this problem is less likely.
But if your vehicle has a physical key that you turn. Please PLEASE don’t put one of these rings around the keyway.
You will have issues eventually.
And as much as I’d love to come and fix it, I would rather it not be over something this simple that could’ve been prevented.
