Plaster restoration of a 70s wallpapered stairway where plaster was coming loose from lathe. It really became obvious after wallpaper was stripped. We covered it with GWB fitted and screwed fast and plaster compatible compound for a durable and economic repair. Lower photo shows kitchen before loose original 1900s material was pulled off and edges cut and then after troweling, priming, and painting to blend seamlessly.

Facade Metal Project Profile
After a storm blew a utility pole against their facade we were selected as restoration specialists.
After creating a precise full size profile pattern the badly dented metal was cut out. Wooden supporting structure was replaced in kind where broken. The metal was carefully formed from the template on Swiss-made computerized brake. Due to the more than a dozen angles and curves it required forming two brake metal pieces. It was finished with sealant, screws, rivets, and custom matched final paint.

The computerized brake shown costs around $400k and bends metal 21’ in length. It definitely made the quality difference in completing this challenging project.

Paint Stripping Project

This chemical paint removal was particularly challenging due to daily business operations, in addition to a busy sidewalk, plus the hazard of high wattage electric service to commercial and residential units.
The first photo shows setting up a “trough” to collect/direct fluids and paint residue. Secondly storefront windows were plastic covered in addition to the 4’ plywood trough. After windows were masked, the caustic “juice” was applied, allowed to pe*****te, and removed with hot water. The fourth photo shows the virtually new look ready for demasking and cleanup of that section.

Garage Brick Rebuild
A vehicle mishap with a 2 car garage lead to a restoration skills testing.
After jacking up the inside to relieve roof weight, we next dismantled the brick facade and straightened the 4” block behind. The brick was carefully cleaned and reused to be an exact match. It was skillfully laid to match joint lines with special care at the angled door frames and around the steel lintels.
After wood replacement, painting, and miscellaneous details, I think it is a well completed project. What do you think?

In process of returning commercial window from ugly blocked-up hodgepodge to restored storefront with insulated glass. Note lower frame wood panels. They were designed and custom milled to match adjacent windows.
