Client wanted less dirt area in the yard and also wanted to be able to close off area near vinyl fence for pet safety. We designed a block bench to safeguard the wall footing that had been previously dug too far. Safe for kids and less messy than the dirt and rocks that were there before. This wall was not in good shape.
After taking it down, an enormous clump of roots was discovered at the base of the wall which most likely caused a lot of the damage.
The root ball was cut away in order to rebuild the lower retaining wall on the other side. We cut the concrete on the patio side here at the client's request and replaced the spaces with a gravel border for a much cleaner look.
