SIMGIRLS is the World's most played DATING SIM game of all time. It is made by an independent game artist called SimMan as a free game with no commercial purpose. Rosebery is the reinvention of Simgirls. It took the original concept, some proven and popular elements of the old game, and rebuild a new modern game from scratch. The game is what
we called a Relationship Simulation RPG. Like the old Simgirls, it will be an open end simulator with lots of freedom for the players to choose their own paths and endings, and yet at the same time, there will be a lot of J-RPG elements like a compelling storyline filled with adventures and memorable characters. In short, Rosebery is a fusion between Simgirls and GTA. The player starts the game as an 18 year old arriving on a remote island. The island is home to a private boarding school called Rosebery where the player will attend.
Initially, campus life is normal, but the player quickly find out that this is no ordinary school! Under the guise of a fun and promiscuous campus life, there exists secret cults, deranged masterminds and a thriving underworld trying to make their fantasies become reality. As you meet the many colorful characters and solve myriads of mysterious, the world of Rosebery opens up to a gang war that threatens your love life. FEATURES
We will be creating the whole island and campus in a 3D environment. With that in mind, Players will be able to access every building and location in the game.
Locations on the island will include: beach, woods, hills, library, classrooms, office, cafeteria, marketplace, dormitory, swimming pool, gym, multiple sports facilities, theatre and more! Activities on the island will be presented as mini-games. Performing these activities will improve character stats, such as physical fitness, appearance, intelligence and more. But if you play them with your date, stats will be gained for both characters and improve your relationship points as well. The player will be able to start random fights, destroy objects, sell substances and engage in protection racketeering. Though, if you get caught by teachers or security, you will face punishment. Players will be given the option to join existing gangs or create their own gang by recruiting members.
The game will support epic fights with many characters at a time. You will also be able to dominate other gangs and absorb them to become the famed BIG BOSS of Rosebery. BACKGROUND
THE ORIGIN OF SIMGIRLS. As a tribute to the manga series DNA2 written by Masakazu Katsura from Japan, the first beta version was launched in February 2002 on Newgrounds.com as Sim Girl. It was later renamed to Simgirls when more playable female characters were added. The game development was once paused for over four years due to SimMan's personal issues. The full version was finally completed and published as a new submission to Newgrounds.com in April 2012. After that due to the overwhelming supports from fans, SimMan continued to update and improve the game. As of today the latest version is Simgirls Gold (7.0). Simgirls is believed to be the very first game that introduced the Dating Sim game genre to the West. As of today the game is still the most viewed submission in the history of Newgrounds.com with over 50 million views.
