almost seventeen years marriaged to this guy…

i was recently asked what has made our relationship work? i honestly think it’s finding a partner that inspires you to evolve and encourages you to see the wonder in the world.

gabriel and i have changed significantly since we were married at 20 + 24 yrs old. we are nearly unidentifiable from the kids that fell in love.

as life has unfolded, we’ve held ourselves accountable to keep growing. we evaluate what serves us and we help one another let go of the rest. we value conviction tremendously. we live aligned with our progressing understanding of the world.

we also have a lot of fun. we make each other laugh every day. we’ve endured plenty of heart breaking setbacks. we’ve disappointed one another at times, but we’ve chosen growth together.

at this point in our relationship, i like us both more than ever. no one knows who they’ll be in a year from now, let alone 17. choose something that’s down for figuring that out with you. a commitment to grow will always endure.❤️
